Works Minister David Umahi has urged cement manufacturers to cut prices to N7,000, citing the naira’s appreciation and falling petrol costs.
He attributed these economic improvements to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s policies and emphasized the need for price reductions.
Umahi also cautioned telecom firm MTN and RCC Nigeria Ltd over delays in completing the Enugu-Onitsha Expressway project.

During a meeting in Abuja, he warned MTN against funding delays and ruled out price variation considerations for RCC.
A firm deadline of May 10, 2026, was set for the project, reaffirming the government’s commitment to quality infrastructure.
