Moshood Jimoh Appointed as Lagos State Commissioner of Police

The Police Service Commission (PSC) has appointed Olohundare Moshood Jimoh as the new Commissioner of Police (CP) for Lagos State Command.

The announcement was made by PSC spokesperson, Ikechukwu Ani, in a statement on Monday afternoon. Jimoh previously served as the CP for the Port Authority, Eastern Ports Command in Rivers State.

His appointment followed an interview held by PSC Chairman, DIG Hashimu Argungu (rtd), and Commissioners, including retired Supreme Court Judge Justice Adamu Paul Galmuje and DIG Taiwo Lakanu (rtd).

Experienced Police Officer Appointed to Head Lagos State Command

Jimoh, a native of Kwara State, brings extensive experience to his new role. His previous appointments include Deputy Commissioner for Airport Command, Finance and Administration, and General Investigations.

He has undergone specialized training in various fields, including Combat Operations, Maritime Rescue, Anti-hijacking Techniques, and more.

Jimoh also received training at international institutions such as the China Maritime Academy, Police Training Institute in Seoul, and the African Union Mission in Darfur, Sudan.

 He received the Presidential Award for Public Relations Personality of the Year, honoring his contribution to public relations development in Nigeria.
