Afriland Properties Plc has appointed Azubike Emodi as its new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (MD/CEO), following the departure of Uzo Oshogwe, who now leads Transcorp Hotels Plc.

Azubike Emodi brings over 20 years of experience in financial services, real estate development, and strategic planning. He has previously held key leadership roles at Royal Bank of Canada, VFD Group, VBank, Anchoria Asset Management, and most recently, Herel Global, where he spearheaded high-impact financial and real estate projects.

As the new MD/CEO, Emodi will drive Afriland Properties’ vision by leveraging its vast land bank and executing significant residential and commercial real estate projects.

Speaking on the appointment, Emmanuel Nnorom, Chairman of the Board of Afriland Properties Plc, expressed confidence in Emodi’s leadership.

Afriland Properties Plc remains a key player in Nigeria’s real estate sector, known for developing Afriland Towers in Marina, Lagos, Heirs Towers in Victoria Island, and The Residences in Ikoyi. The company is also working on Afriland Estate in Karmo, Abuja, a 104-unit residential community, reinforcing its commitment to modern, well-planned urban development.
