The Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (NIQS) has expressed its interest in partnering with Julius Berger Nigeria Plc to enhance infrastructural development in the country.

Chairman of the NIQS Foundation Board of Trustees, Olusegun Ajanlekoko, made this known during a courtesy visit to the construction company, emphasizing the need for collaboration to promote excellence, professionalism, and innovation in the built environment.

Ajanlekoko described Julius Berger as a beacon of excellence, stating that the foundation aims to support initiatives focused on capacity building, research, and sustainable development in the construction industry.

“This foundation is an offshoot of NIQS. When NIQS turned 50, we thought about how to make a meaningful impact on society. That vision led to the establishment of the foundation,” he said.

Recognizing the need for partnerships beyond their immediate environment, Ajanlekoko noted that Julius Berger was identified as an ideal ally due to its commitment to progress in the industry.

Julius Berger’s Director of Administration, Dr. Abdulaziz Kaita, welcomed the collaboration, describing the NIQS Foundation as a significant contributor to the advancement of quantity surveying in Nigeria. He acknowledged the foundation’s role in promoting professional development, fostering innovation, and empowering young professionals.
