Former Senate President Bukola Saraki has expressed deep concern over the deplorable condition of Nigerian roads in the wake of a devastating petrol tanker explosion in Niger State, which claimed over 80 lives and left many injured over the weekend.
In a heartfelt statement issued on Sunday, Saraki described the tragedy as a sobering reflection of the state of the nation’s road infrastructure and the pressing need for immediate intervention.
“The horrific petrol tanker explosion that occurred yesterday at Dikko Junction, Niger State, claiming the lives of at least 80 people and injuring many more, is a devastating tragedy that demands immediate attention and action,” he stated.
