The United Bank for Africa (UBA) has contributed N500 million to the Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF) to enhance security and promote a safer environment in the state.
UBA Group Chairperson, Tony Elumelu, presented the cheque to Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Sunday at the State House. The donation, made through the UBA Foundation, the bank’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) arm, underscores UBA’s commitment to community development and security.
“At UBA, we understand that security is critical for economic growth and societal well-being,” Elumelu stated. “This donation reflects our belief in creating safer communities to improve the quality of life and foster investment and development.”
Elumelu commended the Lagos State Government’s efforts in prioritizing safety and emphasized UBA’s role in supporting initiatives that strengthen economic and social stability.
