1. A Senior Customs officer while responding to questions at the Public Account Committee of the House of Representatives slumped and died. In response, House spokesperson Akin Rotimi expressed his condolences and affirmed that the name of the Customs officer would be withheld out of respect for the bereaved family.
2. The Federal Executive Council FEC has approved the sum of $1.442m for the procurement of ammunition for the National Drugs Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA. FEC also approved the sum of N1.99 billion for the purchase of 33 number Milano CNG vehicles for the anti narcotic agency.
3. The Police Service Commission, PSC, has insisted that it would not cancel the list of successful candidates recently released for recruitment into the constables cadre of the Nigeria Police Force. This comes after the Nigeria Police Force alleged that the recruitment process was marred by corruption, stressing that the final list contained names of people who never applied.

4. The Nigerian Institute of Town Planners have decried the neglected state of human settlements in Nigeria. Speaking at a press conference, the institute’s president, Nathaniel Atebije called on the government to work in collaboration with urban and regional planners to develop and implement physical development plans. He suggested that this partnership would facilitate the delivery of essential services to communities, improve living conditions for residents, and ultimately improve the quality of life in Nigeria.
5. President Bola Tinubu has directed the Federal Executive Council, FEC, to set up a committee to oversee the cholera emergency operation centre operated by the National Centre for Disease Control, NCDC. The Minister of Health, Dr Ali Pate, disclosed this while briefing State House correspondents at the end of the council meeting on Tuesday.
6. Two persons have been reportedly killed and several others wounded in Keana town following land related dispute at the Benue Nasarawa border community. According to eyewitnesses, the attack is a land related matter between the indigenous Alagos and Tivs.
7. The Federal High Court in Lagos, on Tuesday, ordered the final forfeiture of the sum of $1,426,175.14 linked to the immediate-past Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele. The final forfeiture order followed an application by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission on Tuesday.
8. The Umualor community in Enugu State’s Isi-uzo Local Government Area is urgently appealing to the government to intervene and halt further attacks on their land, which spans over 500,000 hectares. The appeal came on the heels of recent armed assaults by hoodlums and land grabbers.

9. The Caretaker Chairman of Ukum Local Government Area, Victor Iorzaa has confirmed bandits’ imposition of N20 million on residents of Logo, Katsina Ala and Ukum council areas. It was reported that bandits levied the N20 million as monthly tax to be paid by all the households in the area. According to Iorzaa he has reported the matter to the police and to the State Security Council.
10. Kenya’s parliament, Nairobi’s city hall and the office of the Governor of Nairobi, have been set on fire by protesters. This comes as protests against a controversial finance bill in the country escalated on Tuesday after police fired live rounds at demonstrators in Nairobi.
