1. Vice President Kashim Shettima has performed groundbreaking ceremony for critical development projects in the Northeast region totaling N47.2 billion. These projects include the construction of the Northeast Development Commission (NEDC) headquarters, launching of Agricultural imputs and the second phase of a 22.38 km road, both aimed at driving growth and promoting development in the region.
2. The sum of $6,230,000 allegedly stolen from the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, on February 8, 2023, was shared and invested into real estate, according to court documents. The $6.2 million, according to the special presidential investigative team, led by Jim Obaze, was removed from the apex bank’s vault under the guise of paying election observers.

4. The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control and Prevention, on Wednesday, said it might declare an emergency on the outbreak of cholera in the country. The NCDC Director General, Dr Jide Idris, who spoke in Lagos, said the centre was monitoring the situation and might declare an emergency if data showed that the outbreak had gone beyond a manageable threshold.

The Delta State Government has ordered the immediate removal of two buildings reportedly obstructing natural waterways in Idjedo Quarters, Otokutu, Ughelli South Local Government Area and Willie Street, Okumagba in Warri South Local Government Area respectively. The order, the Commissioner for Environment, Mr Ejiro Jamani, commissioner, was to protect the environment and restore natural waterways in the state.
